1. Name one food you refuse to eat:
Brussel sprouts, or as I used to call them when I was a girl - little cabbages. Also, raw onions and cabbage (which is the big brother of the brussels). Update: I will admit that roasted brussel sprouts are not as bad as the boiled. And I did enjoy several stir-fry recipes with cabbage as an ingredient, but I still dislike raw onions.
2. Name a recurring dream you have:
I am falling from a great height. I'm terribly afraid of heights. It is quite hilarious to me that action movies which I enjoy watching seem to have a lot of scenes from very tall buildings. Inevitable one or more characters are either falling or being thrown off of them. This increases my fear, which makes me ask, "Why do I watch those movies?"3. Where can you usually be found on a Sunday afternoon?
At home working and then enjoying some peace and quiet time with my son.4. What is something you would like to do before you die?
I would love to either go on a cruise to Alaska or find a nice, quiet place in Montana to live my final days. I miss the snow and open space of the Midwest. California is nice, don't get me wrong, but this country girl needs more of the mountains, blue skies, and beauty of nature that you just can't find where I am right now. Update: We've back to the Midwest, love having 4 seasons again, and love the snow.
5. If you could have a "dream" job, what would it be?
I can't complain about my current "job." Being able to stay home to care for my son and mother is such a blessing. I would love to have more time to write, and getting paid for it would be the icing on my cake.
6. Did you make any New Year's Resolutions this year? And if so, did you stick to any?
No, I refused to make any this year. It is like setting myself up for failure since I haven't yet achieved the self-discipline to stick to them.7. How did you meet your husband?
I'm not married.8. Name a pet peeve (or 2, or 3, lol):
Cell phones! People who drive while talking on them. Men who treat women and/or their children as possessions. People who think they know better than me how I should live and can't stop telling me what they think.9. Name one chore you hate doing:
It is rather a tie between doing the dishes and cleaning the shower. I have a dishwasher, but I hate waiting for it to get done. I get involved in other things, and forget to unload it. I hate cleaning the shower because I have a bad back, and I will be in pain for days after this chore. This will soon be a chore for my son to take over. Update: Wahoo, my son has taken over these chores and I'm so happy.
10. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Please share your answers to these great questions. I'd love to get to know you.
I would like to have more self-discipline. There are so many things that need to get done but there is always something else I'd rather be doing. I know you can relate.
Please share your answers to these great questions. I'd love to get to know you.

Thanks for doing this Lynda! I also would LOVE to go on an Alaskan cruise. We've done a couple Mexican cruises, but Alaska is the next one for sure!! And Montana sounds gorgeous. My Grandfater was born and raised there, and I've always wanted to visit. It sounds like cowboy country to me. An excuse to wear some cute boots and a hat!!
ReplyDeleteI am going to do this! How Fun!
