Livin' in a Glass House: Awards, Awards, Awards....

Anna-Marie @ Life's Adventures and Shelley @ Finding My Life in Faith have both passed awards to my blog. Congratulations to Anna-Marie and Shelley for being recognized, and thank you for sending them on to me. I am always excited to receive recognition for my blog, but it is so much more fun to recognize others.

Since I was unable to feature a blog this week for A Shining Blog (life happens, lol), I will make up for that by passing these awards on to 7 very deserving blogs.

1. Why did you create this blog?

This blog is a way for me to share the many blessings I have received, and an outlet for me to practice my writing. Homeschooling and being a caretaker have become somewhat of a career for me. With all the research I have done and information I have gained it would almost be a sin to keep it to myself when I have the opportunity to share with others. Also, what better way to share my writing than through blogging?

This blog has also become a major way for me to connect with others. For self protection and due to past situations I have closed myself off from people. It is a small way to welcome others into my life, and get to know others in a safe environment.

2. What kinds of blogs do you follow?

I follow just about every kind of blog. Homeschooling, parenting, organizing, inspirational and devotional, food, review and giveaway, authors and writers, songwriters and singers are just a few of the hundreds I follow. As long as the writing and content of the blog are in line with my spiritual beliefs and God's Word I will follow.

3. Favorite make-up brand?

To be completely honest, I have not worn make-up for so long, but I have always used Cover Girl. My son has seen me in make-up and thinks I "look funny". He likes the natural look, and says I don't look like "mom" if I wear make-up. I have found that I don't really care to wear it, and the reasons I wore it before were very vain. 4. Favorite clothing brand?

I don't necessarily have a favorite brand, but my favorite thing to wear:

5. Indispensable makeup product?

Obviously I don't think there is such a thing.

6. Favorite color?

Just about every shade of blue there is under the sun.

7. Favorite perfume?

I am allergic to most perfumes, but I have found one that I really like. Avon's Sweet Honesty.

8. Favorite film?

I absolutely love August Rush. It is a beautiful story, and the soundtrack to the film is amazing.

9. What country would you like to visit and why?

I have always wanted to visit England, Scotland, and Ireland. When I was in my twenties I read many historical romances in which the setting was in those countries. I have always admired the struggles they have gone through for their independence. One island wanted by so many, to me there is no better romance than the love a people have for their country.

10. Would you rather forget to put mascara on one eye or forget blush on one side of your face?
