Hope in life's storms

There is hope in life's storms.  The time for tears has not yet passed, but you can feel hope floating in, waiting for the path to be cleared.  It's frightening and exciting at the same time.

Storms rejuvenate our soul, helps to redefine the focus of priorities.  A clean slate means opportunity.  Winds forcing a new direction that fear and indecision are unable to control.  It's a reminder that God keeps His promises.

The lark soars singing from its nest,
And tells aloud
His trust in God, and so is blest
Let come what cloud.

He has no store, he sows no seed,
Yet sings aloud, and doth not heed.
Through cloudy day or scanty feed,
He sings to shame
Men who forget in fear of need
a Father's name.

The heart that trusts forever sings,
And feels as light as it has wings;
A well of peace within it springs.
Come good or ill,
Whate'er to-day or morrow bring,
It is His will.

  1. I am always reminded that life's storms are merely God's way of reminding us to turn to Him. He loves us. He wants to hear from us. You're right. It gives me great hope!

  7. Thanks for this beautiful post. Hoping can be hard sometimes, but I love the verse from the Psalms where it says "still hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him."
