My Versatile Blogger Award

Tracy at A Slice of Smith Life received the Versatile Blogger Award.  She is passing the award on to me.  I have been so blessed by Tracy, and I want to thank her for the recognition.

If you have received an award you know the best part is paying it forward to other deserving blogs.  It is also difficult to narrow the list down to 15, but I have succeeded in choosing some very deserving bloggers.

7 things about me:

• My favorite chapter in the Bible is 1 Corinthians 13. I memorized it when I was in high school, and have tried to live by it ever since.
• I miss Colorado winters and the snow!  I now live in California, and though it is lovely it will never be "home" to me.  I miss the plains to the east with prairie grass or corn fields as far as the eye can see.  The majestic Rocky Mountains in the west with the most beautiful sunsets you can ever imagine.  The country folks with a simpler, friendlier way about them.  Men in Wrangler jeans! (Do I need to say any more about them?)
• I am a S.H.E. (Sidetracked Home Executive).
• I have three of the most amazing sisters.  My sisters and I are so very different, but we are the same in our love and devotion to one another.  Without their support I would not be able to care for our mother, and homeschool my son.
• I was a licensed cosmetologist for 10 years.  Like everything I do, I was passionate about cosmetology.  It was not uncommon for me to work 60 hours a week.  Unfortunately, to my detriment, burnout was inevitable.
• I have a confession, I stole my son's workboxes.  We have tweaked, and tried to adjust the milk crate and file folders long enough.  We are now using workfolders such as Jolanthe is.  Here is a link if you are interested, or don't know what I'm talking about.  Now the milk crate is my answer to all the piles and stacks of papers I seem to accumulate.
• My favorite movie is August Rush.  The wonderful story line, actors, but most of all the music.  I cry every time I see this movie.

But enough about me.  Now to the fun part....

4. Blog Mommas - Angela has created this as a blog directory for blogging moms (and dads) to come together to share ideas, tips, and get noticed.  Angela features a blog quarterly, monthly, and weekly.


5. Blog She Wrote - Heather is a homeschooling mom of four who is a wonderful writer sharing all her families homeschooling fun.


6. Confessions of an Organized Homeschool Mom - Bethany is a freelance writer and editor by trade who has been homeschooling for 10 years.  She offers many organizing tips, reviews, and is on the TOS crew.


7. Hide and Seek Him - Faith is a homeschooling mom of three and a new blogger who enjoys sharing lots of pictures of their adventures while following Jesus.  (Update:  This blog has been deleted.)


8. Homeschool Highway - Shelbz is a wife and mother of three "blogging about everything no matter how exciting or mundane."  (Update:  This blog has been deleted.)


9. IHeart Organizing - Jen is a SAHM of three and an organizing queen.  Jen offers a plethora of organizing tips which I can't seem to get enough of.


10. Lamp Unto My Feet - Sherry is a military wife and homeschooling mom of 2 trying to keep Jesus in the forefront of life.  (Update:  This blog has been deleted.)


11. Lettricia Spell - Lettricia, known by most as Trish, is an amazing stock photographer who is using her talents to share her faith.


12. Mishmash Maggie - Lainie is a homeschooling mom of 3 who offers encouragement, advice, and tips with the most humorous posts.  You will find yourself chuckling for hours.


13. One Family's Life - Stephanie is a corporate professional, mom of 2, and wife to an amazing man.  Steffy shares their families struggles and triumphs with cancer, weight loss, and more.


14. So Be Organized - Rivka shares ideas, tips, and practical wisdom for working smarter not harder.


15. Wildflower Paths - Pam is a homeschooling mom of three who is enjoying life.  Pam is willingly sharing her experiences and wisdom with us all.
